-- Thomas Kwei, a former member of our Aging in Place Group members, is a BHV member and filled in our group about BHV, its newsletter, some of its activities, and some of its services at our first meeting.
-- Gina Paglucia Morrison, BHV Executive Director, confirmed that Esplanade residents can join Beacon Hill Village, with the only proviso that since we are not located in one of Boston’s downtown neighborhoods, we are not eligible for certain local services such as rides to appointments, the airport, and grocery shopping, but we would be fully eligible for all other BHV activities and services, including social activities, health and wellness programs, participation in the MGH Executive Registry (new), and access to their extremely useful approved lists of service providers and resources.

Possible Aging in Place Group Questionnaire: Do we want to develop a questionnaire to find out what our Group’s members want in terms of aging in place here at the Esplanade?
-- What kinds of programs, what kinds of services, what information for us here?
-- Pros and cons of living in a continuing care community versus trying to live in place
-- Anyone interested in working on this, or discuss at our next meeting?
Other suggestions welcome!
