Rodham, by Curtis Sittenfeld
What if she hadn’t married him? When you need something frivolous, turn to this fictional depiction of Hilary’s career if she had turned down Bill’s marriage proposal after he revealed himself as a sexual predator. The first half of the book follows Hillary’s life pretty much as it actually was through her first few years out of Yale Law School. Then, reader, she turns him down. The second half of the book creates an alternative future for her, ending in a 2106 election run against Bill, and a surprising endorsement. A good read, lots of sex, almost no violence.
