From the Board of Trustees
Letter to the Editor of the ECG
Members of the Esplanade Board are aware of the recent Resident Group Update March 2023 that is part of your recent March Newsletter.
There are several areas of the Resident Group Update that are of concern to The Board. There appears that while the Group wants to advise The Board, it assumes that their committees will be able to interact with Management as part of a team.
It is the responsibility of Management to work with the Board who have been elected by all owners and any such owner or group concerns need to be addressed to the Board.
It is also perceived that the initial approval of the request of some owners for Level One charging stations was unfair and The Esplanade is now faced with having to deal with an upgrade of the electrical system. At the time of the initial approval, it was not an unreasonable request and had no bearing on future needs and upgrades.
Also, these matters brought forth by the Resident Group have been on the forefront of Board of activity for several years and The Board is not “now taking those issues seriously.”
The Board has always been proactive in listening to all Residents and recommend that the ECG should take note that in publishing any reports does not necessarily reflect the opinion of the ECG membership. The ECG has been a valuable resource for the Esplanade community in providing much needed support for owners and residents during the past few years.
Any misinformation or misrepresentation of The Board can create mischaracterization of The Board.
